Plucky Station, the premier claw arcade store in town, is on the hunt for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Plucky’s Helper. Position: Plucky’s Helper
Location: 86-55 Broadway, Store #4, Elmhurst, NY
Employment Type: Part-Time (20-35 hours per week)
Estimated Start Date: Early December 2024
Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour *based on experience

About Us: At Plucky Station, we specialize in providing a thrilling and entertaining experience with our claw machines. We pride ourselves on being a community hub for fun, laughter, and friendly competition. Our mission is to ensure every visit is filled with excitement and joy.

Store Hours: (subject to change)

• Monday to Thursday: 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM
• Friday: 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Saturday: 10:00 AM - 12:00 AM
• Sunday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the arcade, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Customer Assistance: Help customers with claw machines, offering guidance and encouragement to enhance their experience.
• Token Management: Distribute free tokens to players who have tried multiple times without success, keeping the mood positive and engaging.
• Machine Organization: Reorganize plushies and prizes inside the machines to improve win chances and maintain an appealing setup.
• Stocking and Inventory: Regularly stock machines with plushies and other prizes, ensuring a fresh and attractive selection.
• Backroom Organization: Maintain an orderly and efficient backroom and storage area, ensuring easy access to supplies and inventory.
• Retail Counter: Assist at the retail counter, managing token sales, handling cash, exchanging prize upgrades, and providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

• Customer Service Skills: Friendly and approachable with a genuine desire to assist and engage with customers.
• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for organizing and arranging prizes to maximize player satisfaction.
• Multitasking Ability: Capable of managing various tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic Cash Handling: Experience with cash transactions and handling money. Team Player: Works well with others and contributes to a positive team atmosphere.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in retail or arcade settings.
• Enthusiasm for games and a good sense of fun.
• Ability to lift and move plushies and supplies as needed.
